On Wednesday 16th December 2020 we were inspected by Thanet District Council and received a 5* (Very Good, the highest possible standard) Food Hygiene Rating.
While Salt Of The Earth take great care to store and package all products in accordance with food hygiene regulations, allergens including but not limited to : celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soya, sulphur dioxide and sulphites and tree nuts are present in our shop. These can be present in the form of granules, dust and / or airborne particles.
For the un-packaged refill food items we sell by weight; due to the nature of the food products they normally have very long shelf lives. We sell items up to one calendar month before their ‘best before’ date, so your products will always have a minimum of 1 month before they reach their ‘best before’ date. If you would like us to include the ‘best before’ dates on the labels please let us know requests’ section at the checkout.
Our Refund policy
Firstly thank you for shopping at Salt of The Earth! If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we'll do our best to help.
We have a 14 day return policy, which means you have 14 days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return the item must be as new, unused, in the original packaging and you'll need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable items We cannot accept returns for packaged or packaged food and drink items or liquid refills, unless there are issues with quality.
You’ll automatically be refunded to your original payment method and it can take up to 10 working days to reach your account.

What should I expect when arranging a shipment?
When ordering you can either collect from our store (click and collect) or have your order shipped.
Click and Collect
Your order will be available for collection 24 working hours after your confirmation of order email is received
If you do not receive a confirmation of order email please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name and details of your order
We can provide a box or bag for you to take your items away but we would love it if you bring a reusable bag with you when you collect
The buyers full name and address will be required collecting your order.
We currently offer shipping to the UK only and items will be shipped within 2 working days.
Shipping is via a 48 hour recorded service, generally via Royal Mail and you will receive an email confirming the tracking number when your order is shipped.
The shipping cost is £4.99 per order
Your order will be packaged and shipped in plastic free and fully recyclable packaging.
